Vivian Milligan, a lifelong resident of Upper Ringwood and a proud member of the Ramapough Lenape Turtle Clan, died on August 26, 2021 on her 70th birthday. As an environmental justice activist, she worked tirelessly for the health and safety of her community. Vivian fought long and hard for the cleanup of the Ringwood Superfund Site. In honor of Vivian Milligan and her dedication to the Ringwood community, the Ringwood Democratic Organization will award one scholarship annually to a graduating Lakeland senior residing in Ringwood and planning to continue their education beyond high school. 

Scholarship recipients will be announced each June at Lakeland Regional High School’s Senior Awards Ceremony. Thank you for taking the time to consider supporting Vivian Milligan’s memory and our great award winners!
